Behaviourist Mentoring –
Help with your behaviour practice

Would you like support in your professional practice?

Are you a trainer, vet, vet nurse and/or behaviour professional?

Do you work independently?

Would you like to have someone to discuss cases, industry and career issues with?

Would it help to talk over the challenges of our unique, and sometimes isolating, job roles?

I can assist you, with information, advice and guidance as part of our mentoring and supervision placement scheme.

I am very fortunate to be able to support practitioners with structured, goal-oriented mentoring. This can be a difficult and challenging job at times, and we understand that to do our best at our jobs, we need to reflect and discuss cases and day to day business with someone who can help.

Who do I work with?

Anyone in practice as a trainer, behaviourist, or those approaching this career can access this supervision.

Why ask for my help via mentoring and supervision?

I help you to openly address any concerns you may have with your work, to identify things that may be preventing your progression, aspects of your career or practice that you may not have considered and reflect on ways to help yourself to feel more confident in certain areas. Most of all I can help you set realistic and achievable goals (and provide a friendly, approachable listening ear in the process!).

I have over twenty years experience in the industry, running an independent, successful business as a trainer, behaviourist and author, with extensive practical and clinical experience. I am an Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB), Full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), Full member of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC) as well as recently being accepted as a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant with the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants (IAABC). I am also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and an Animal Behaviour and Training Council registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (ABTC-CAB) and Animal Training Instructor (ABTC-ATI).

High standards of care are at the heart of my day to day work, but sometimes, it is we professionals that need that care.

We need to ensure that we ourselves do not experience unmanageable stress, and self-care means we can help others and do the best job possible. I aim to encourage you to act ethically, both to your clients, and to you yourself.

All your details and discussions are completely confidential, to encourage a safe space with open, honest expression.

What might it cost?

This is a paid support service. I have a standard fee for supervision placement based on an hourly rate, but if you book four sessions in a block there is a discount available.
